Garino Signs with Orlando Magic

Former Colonial Patricio Garino called up to the Orlando Magic 0 By Daniel Frank

What the Magic apparently didn't realize was the white board in the background contained a bunch of names in black marker that appear to be the team's offseason wish list.

This very unique situation all started with the news that the Magic had signed guard Patricio Garino, a 23-year-old Argentine basketball player.

For what it's worth, Hennigan has downplayed the leaked list of players, telling The Orlando Sentinel that the lists are "not indicative of plans" and that he and his team were "simply listing options, including some of which other teams have inquired about".

Pence Summoned To Break Tie On Planned Parenthood Funding
Women's marches have been held across the country to protest cuts to reproductive health care. The bill will now head to President Donald Trump's desk.

However, aside from spreading like wildfire on social media, the blunder was not without repercussions. His agent, Carlos Prunes, took a picture of his client signing a contract like any good agent would for his client. But what is interesting is the number of players on the list that the Magic have already discarded: Ersan Ilyasova, Serge Ibaka, Tobias Harris and Moe Harkless, to name a few. It is possible that the Magic now realize their folly and see Harkless as an option moving forward. He ranks third in school history in steals (220) and games played (129), and 11th in scoring (1,150).

The tweet has since been deleted, but clearly, the damage has been done.

Those columns are Hybrid Trade (referring to players who can play multiple positions), Hybrid Free Agency (referring to players who can play multiple positions and will become free agents this summer) and Spread Bigs Trade (referring to big men who can spread the court with long-range shooting). With perhaps some of the team's offseason plans revealed, the pressure may be on to achieve them, or everyone will know where they failed in their execution.
