Sculptor of Wall Street's bull wants 'Fearless Girl' moved

The sculptor that erected Wall Street's Charging Bull statue is complaining about New York City's decision to allow a nearby statue to remain in place.

The city's ruling to let the bronze depiction of a defiant girl remain until February 2018 just feet from the bull's flaring nostrils should be reviewed, said a lawyer for sculptor Arturo Di Modica.

The statue was created by artist Kristen Visbal, who was commissioned by a NY advertising firm and a Boston investment bank, as a pointed message to corporate America about the lack of women in their boardrooms.

"Everybody loves the bull", Mr Di Modica told reporters at a press conference on Wednesday, adding that the renewed attention to his original work is "negative".

Perhaps ironically, Di Modica's pursuit may be a violation of the bull's own guerrilla past. It was created to encourage corporations to fill more board seats with women.

"Wall Street is a traditionally male environment and [the statue] says, 'Hey, we're here, '" Visbal told The Wall Street Journal.

Artist Kristen Visbal's statue of a girl with her hands on her hips was placed on a traffic island facing the bull on March 7. Siegel called it copyright infringement and said the artist is considering a lawsuit.

Five driving modes are available in the 2018 Trackhawk which split the torque transfer between the front and rear axles. Nappa leather and suede seats are embroidered with "Trackhawk" logos with option to both heat and ventilate.

They also drew inspiration from Di Modica's surprise installment, albeit with a permit, and dropped her off in the middle of the night.

"The placement of the statue of the young girl in opposition to "Charging Bull" has undermined the integrity and modified the "Charging Bull" Siegel said. The Italian immigrant intended the work to bolster American traders' spirits after the stock crash of a few years before - though the NYSE, it must be said, was not pleased with its holiday gift, hefting away the bull by the end of the day.

A spokeswoman for the mayor did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

City officials removed it from the front of the New York Stock Exchange, then reinstalled it at a small public space in the financial district.

"The girl has changed the meaning of the bull forever", said David Levi Strauss from the Manhattan School of Visual Arts.

Siegel said the advertising exploits commercial use laws.
