Can Starbucks' unicorn Frappuccino deliver more than buzz?

ABC Uproxx

Starbucks also claims this thing changes color and flavor as it goes. Apparently, the drink requires a bit of mixing to achieve full Unicorn-iness. As the two components mix together, the drink changes color and flavor, the purple fading to pink and the taste transforming from "sweet and fruity" to "pleasantly sour" (or so the drink's menu page states). The more you stir it, the more the beverage turns into a pink color with tangy and tart flavors.

The Frappuccino creme is blended with a dust of sweet pink powder, mango syrup is added to give a delightful texture to fruit blast drink.

While at first it reminded him of a mango smoothie, he ultimately found it too sweet but recommends it for any kid who loves sour candy.

For a limited time, Starbucks will be offering a Unicorn Frappuccino, a drink that appears to have been designed expressly for Instagram. While the sugary pink explosion has dominated the Starbucks news cycle today, the company also wants you to know they do stuff besides raise your blood sugar to risky levels-they also plant trees.

"The elusive unicorn from medieval legend has been making a comeback".

Russian Federation vetoes Security Council resolution on alleged chemical attack in Syria
The resolution garnered 10 votes in favor, Russian Federation and Bolivia against, and China, Kazakhstan and Ethiopia abstaining. Russia, however, seems determined to defend the Syrian strongman, despite Lavrov's statements to the contrary.

"People are freaking out over Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino", burbled USA Today's headline. There's no video evidence yet, because the drink hasn't officially launched, but if that's true, it really is magical. Days ago, baristas on Reddit's Starbucks page sent the Internet all a-tizzy by posting pictures of mysterious pink and blue powders, followed by snaps of full-on, whipped-cream-topped, questionably colored coffee creations.

The drink jumps on a social media trend of unicorn-themed, rainbow-hued food and beverages. Overall, the drink was good, but not epic.

The drink is now only available in the United States, Canada and Mexico until April 23rd.

But there's more than just the colorful combination to make the drink magical.
