JuJu Smith-Schuster selected by Pittsburgh Steelers with No. 62 pick

20150817pdSteelersSports09-8 Steelers receiver Martavis Bryant weighed in with some brutal honesty Friday night during the NFL draft

Smith-Schuster and family had to sweat out nearly the entire second round before he was selected in the NFL Draft, but it was all worth it when he was taken with the 62nd overall pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Sammie Coates' roster spot could be in trouble.

The 6-foot-1, 215-pound Smith-Schuster had 213 catches for 3,092 yards and 25 touchdowns to finish his college career fourth on the Trojans' all-time list in receptions. Smith-Schuster caught a pass from quarterback Cody Kessler and ran toward the sideline, pointing at Dominique Hatfield, a cornerback for the Utes, as if he was begging for him to run at him.

"I'll do anything possible to bring the Steelers back to the Super Bowl, special teams, be a role player", Schuster-Smith said.

"Really kind of a do it all guy", Pittsburgh offensive coordinator Todd Haley said.

From the perspective of the Steelers, this move gives Ben Roethlisberger another reliable option to work with in the passing game after Smith-Schuster found the end zone 20 times during his final two seasons at USC. That led to some immediate tension between his future teammates, specifically wide receiver Martavis Bryant, who is returning to the Steelers after sitting out the 2016 season due to violations of the league's substance-abuse policy.

Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff Reuniting and It Feels So Good
The second will take place at the Livewire Festival in the United Kingdom on August 27. Sinitta, The Jacksons and Jason Donovan are also performing.

Smith-Schuster became the highest wide receiver drafted by the Steelers in nine years, since Limas Sweed was drafted 53rd overall in 2008.

The Pittsburgh Steelers chose three new teammates Friday night, including University of Pittsburgh James Conner.

Smith-Schuster is among several recent USC receivers to be taken early in the draft. The Steelers have a dozen of them and counting, so some eventually will be gone.

Wrote Bryant, "lol that's Sammie Coates replacement not [mine] take it how you want to I am back".

Channeling his inner Ward. this play bears a striking resemblance to an infamous block the former Steelers great laid on Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Keith Rivers.
