CBS' Tony Romo admits he'll probably stink on TV at first

Tony Romo totally expects to'stink for a while as an NFL broadcaster

The former Cowboys quarterback made the admission Monday after he failed to qualify for the U.S. Open golf tournament, according to Darin Gantt of Pro Football Talk.

Tony Romo's dream of playing in the U.S. Open is over-at least for the time being. (The sectional qualifiers also include more than 400 exempt golfers.) About half of the 156-player U.S. Open field will be comprised of players who advance from the sectional, according to USGA spokesperson Brian DePasquale.

After Romo had shot a three-over 75 to miss the cut at Split Rail, the retired Cowboys star spoke with the Star-Telegram about whether golf could fill the huge competitive void left by football. Romo advanced to sectional qualifying in 2010, but he had to withdraw after weather delayed play and he had to take part in organized team activities (OTAs) for the Cowboys.

Through three holes of his U.S. Open qualifier Tony Romo is even. It taught me something.

Waze Let's You Record Your Voice For Directions
You'll lose details such as street names, but you'll gain the satisfaction of hearing your navigation app say " turn left here, ". As to why that is, it's probably because Google owns Waze after all so it made sense to update the app on Android first.

Clearly, Romo remains competitive, as evidenced by his fist-pump after the eagle on No. 14 and his look of dismay when he saw that his tee shot on No. 15 had rolled into the water.

Romo bogeyed Nos. 5, 7 and 9 to make the turn at 3 over. The 37-year-old stuck around after playing to sign autographs and take photos. Romo called that a mistake of not scouting the course well enough.

"That's the same thing in broadcasting". It's exciting, it's a little nerve-wracking, it's all these things in one. You're coming into the unknown and something I have to get better at and I like a challenge. I know I'll probably stink for a while. Then I'm going to go back and be a really good assistant golf club professional back in Burlington, Wisconsin'.
