China tests new missile near Korea

Soldiers of China's People Liberation Army (PLA) take part in a military parade at Tiananmen Square in Beijing on September 3, 2015.

The test in the Bohai Sea was to 'raise the operational capability of the armed forces and effectively respond to threats to national security, ' the Defense Ministry said.

The installation of the US-developed THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) missile defense system in South Korea has drawn regional condemnation not only from North Korea, but from China and Russian Federation as well, who object to the system's range and powerful radar.

Chinese defense chiefs say the country's military has successfully tested a new kind of guided missile near the Korean peninsula.

The US said the THAAD deployment was aimed at countering any missile attack by North Korea against the South, Japan and the US.

Meant to shoot down incoming North Korean missiles, Beijing has called the system a threat to its own national security.

Waze Let's You Record Your Voice For Directions
You'll lose details such as street names, but you'll gain the satisfaction of hearing your navigation app say " turn left here, ". As to why that is, it's probably because Google owns Waze after all so it made sense to update the app on Android first.

A USA defense official said, however, that the system had only "reached initial intercept capability".

An official statement did not say what kind of missile was tested or when it was sacked, only saying it happened "recently".

It is rare that China, a close ally of North Korea was not at the negotiating table.

Our positions should be judged not for what Trump proclaims but by the reality of China's activities. The column also mentioned an article by Doug Bandow, senior fellow at the Cato Institute, titled "Strategic impatience won't defeat North Korea", which ran in the bimonthly American journal the National Interest, and said that "Bandow's assessment is accurate".

Her counterpart is Suzanne DiMaggio, director and senior fellow at a Washington D.C. -based think tank and former official in the Obama administration, according to South Korea's Yonhap News Agency.

In retaliation against Seoul, Beijing has stopped travel agencies from sending groups to South Korea, among other measures. North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un has yet to visit Beijing, more than five years after taking power. It said that Beijing is believed to have delivered the proposition to Pyongyang.
