Nigeria leader meets Chibok girls, leaves for medical trip
Neither Nigeria's government nor Boko Haram, which has links to the Islamic State group, gave details about the exchange. Nigerians gathered in front of newsstands Monday looking at the names of freed schoolgirls in local papers.

Survivors, several covered in blood, were picking up body parts that lay scattered in the road among vehicles twisted by the blast.

The blast hit a convoy carrying Senator Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, the deputy chairman of Pakistan's upper house, as it left a religious school in Mastung. Most of the people killed were workers of his party.

A police official, Safar Khan, said it is not clear whether it was a planted bomb or a suicide attack.

Balochistan government spokesman Anwarul Haq Kakar said it was too early to say anything about the nature of the attack. Police said Haidri was in Mustung to attend ceremony at a seminary and the blast took place when he was leaving the area.

Meanwhile, the Balochistan government has launched a probe into the attack.
